3 Reasons to host your event at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop)

The Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, referred to as MoPop, is a must see for locals and DMC groups alike. This fun, funky, and well-designed museum and large event venue will give your attendees the perfect insights to Seattle’s unique culture and personality through the lens of music, movies, and other pop culture topics.

Why groups love Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture

As a Seattle event planner and DMC, we often host groups at MoPop for welcome receptions, closing parties, and holiday parties.  There is so much to love about this venue, but here are our top 3 reasons to book Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture for your next large event:

1. Wow Factor

MoPop is visually exciting everywhere that you look. There is so much to experience that your guests are guaranteed to talk about it long after your event.  Everyone always wants their pictures taken in front of the massive guitar sculpture. Guitar sculpture at MoPop Museum Seattle

The large, open space in their main event area is called “Sky Church”.  There is a lot of beautiful lighting, and the open space allows for a great amount of creativity and flexibility.  Even from the outside, the museum piques interest and excitement.

2. Endless Event Themes

You can play off of the exhibits for fun themes.  There’s not just music – there are movies, science fiction, and other fun pop culture elements to incorporate into your event theme.

3. Seamless Service + Logistics

We have a great relationship with the team at MoPop, making it such a smooth process for you as the planner. Their preferred caterers know the space and flow like the back of their hand, lighting is already done which saves budget and coordination, and transportation to and from the venue couldn’t be easier.  The Seattle monorail goes straight to the museum, or we can coordinate private transportation and/or valet services.

MoPop is one of our favorite event venues in Seattle. It offers such a fun vibe and is incredibly versatile. Depending on the event, your attendees could arrive in a concert T-shirt and jeans or dress up in a ballgown.

Finally, if you’re hosting an extra large crowd, you can combine MoPop with the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass for a block party for up to 10,000 guests
