Your Guide to 2024-2025 Seattle Holiday Events

You probably think of visiting Seattle in the spring or summer when the views are at their best. But the truth is that Seattle holiday events in the winter are an extra type of magical. Not only are breathtaking, but the city offers so many things to do you’ll wonder why you waited so long to make it happen.

From jaw-dropping light displays to festive parades, Seattle literally evolves into a winter wonderland perfect for creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Add These 4 Stops to Your Seattle Holiday Event List

Whatever brings you to Seattle— you’re a local, in town for a meeting, or spending time with family and friends—visiting the Pacific Northwest during the holidays is nothing short of magical. Despite what many people believe, associating Seattle with gloomy and overcast weather, the truth is that the colder temperatures can create crisp blue skies and spectacular views of the Puget Sound, the snowy peaks of the Cascades, and Mount Rainier off in the distance.

With that, here are four things that absolutely need to make your Seattle holiday event to-do list.

Snowflake Lane in Bellevue

Snowflake Lane in Bellevue is a must-see holiday spectacle just a 10-mile drive from Seattle. Every night, from November 29 to December 24, 2024, the streets come alive with a parade that feels like stepping into a winter wonderland. With snowflakes gently falling, lively holiday music filling the air, and festive characters dancing through the streets, it’s an experience that captures the magic of the season.

Families gather to watch the twinkling lights and enjoy the joyous atmosphere, making it a perfect outing for all ages. The charm of Snowflake Lane is well worth the trip and adds a special touch to your Seattle activities.

Enchant Christmas Lights Experience at T-Mobile Park

If you’re looking for a holiday event that combines adventure with tradition, the Enchant Christmas Lights Experience at T-Mobile Park is a must-see. Open November 22 to December 29, 2024, The centerpiece is a massive light maze that winds through sparkling tunnels and illuminated displays, creating a magical world for you to explore. You can also glide across the ice-skating trail, surrounded by twinkling lights and holiday cheer.

Don’t forget to visit the Christmas market for unique gifts and festive treats. And of course, Santa Claus makes an appearance, and who doesn’t love a visit from Father Christmas himself?

WildLanterns at Woodland Park Zoo

WildLanterns at Woodland Park Zoo is not your typical holiday light display. This immersive experience runs November 15, 2024 through January 19, 2025, and transforms the zoo into a glowing wonderland where nature and lights intertwine. As you walk through the zoo, you’ll encounter life-sized lanterns shaped like animals and plants, each one more breathtaking than the last.

Leavenworth Tree Lighting

Have you ever wanted to feel like you are part of a fairy tale? Well, you’re in luck. For a holiday experience that feels like stepping into a storybook, head to the Bavarian village of Leavenworth for their famous tree lighting ceremony. Though it’s a bit of a drive from Seattle—about 120 miles—we promise the experience will be well worth it.(Tip: If you don’t want to drive, book a tour that provides transportation from downtown Seattle to Leavenworth and back). Leavenworth’s “Christmastown: Village of Lights” is open November 29 to December 24, 2024.

The entire village is decked out in festive decorations, with twinkling lights and garlands adorning every building. As night falls, town members are known to gather and watch the grand lighting of the towering Christmas tree in the town square. And after that? It’s all about Christmas carols and holiday cheer! You may even get to experience a snowfall during the lighting.

Wait! There’s More to Do in the Pacific Northwest During the Holidays

Though the four activities mentioned above are definitely some of our favorites here at Event Experience, there are so many more amazing things to do.

Hop aboard the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival and enjoy holiday carols as the ship cruises around Puget Sound. If you’re in the mood for festive shopping, the Pike Place Market Holiday Festival offers a delightful mix of local crafts, seasonal treats, and live entertainment.

Don’t miss the Gingerbread Village at the Sheraton, where you can stare in wonder at the intricate gingerbread creations crafted by local architects and chefs. We’re not kidding—these displays are so full of color and detail that you’ll scratch your head wondering how they are even made of cookie material.

Finally, if you want to see more light displays, check out the Bellevue Botanical Gardens “Garden D’Lights”. You’ll also find holiday markets and pop-up events in neighborhoods throughout the city. Each year is different, making it perfect for those who love a good surprise and delight experience!
