Unique Event Spaces in Seattle
Are you looking for great event spaces in Seattle? Choosing the right venue is a critical step in planning a great event, but is just the beginning. Seattle offers a wide range of options from historic venues, waterfront views, iconic landmarks, and modern spaces.
Before you Book your Seattle Event Space
We recommend that you consider seasonality when you’re looking at these venues for 1) weather, and 2) availability. Fortunately in the Pacific Northwest our weather is pretty mild, but it’s always important to have a rain backup plan. All of these venues offer indoor space so your guests can be safe from the elements, but many also offer outdoor areas so you can enjoy the wonderful weather and views that we often have. We have hosted events in these venues year-round from holiday parties to summer mixers. Secondly, peak Seattle travel time is over the summer months, so keep that in mind when choosing your event dates and book early if you’re planning during the summer or holidays.
Check out a few of our favorite event spaces in Seattle:
Historic Event Space
AXIS Pioneer Square
In the heart of downtown Seattle, AXIS Pioneer Square is a fantastic venue that can hold up to 400 people. The main event space is 6,000, and can be combined with the additional gallery space for 10,000 square feet total. We especially love the brick archways and antique wood floors. With its vintage charm and modern elegance, this venue is an excellent choice and close to downtown hotels, restaurants, and bars.
Waterfront Event Space
Bell Harbor International Conference Center
One of the only event venues fully on the Seattle waterfront, Bell Harbor International Conference Center is located within walking distance from most hotels, downtown Seattle, and many historic attractions. Bell Harbor has over 100,000 square feet of event space, including an auditorium, event hall, and several meeting rooms.
They offer a complete meeting package and in-house audiovisual. Our favorite space is the outdoor waterfront terrace, overlooking Puget Sound with views of the Olympic mountains. This venue is a great location that has everything you need.
Iconic Event Space
The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)
Located directly in Seattle’s city center, the Museum of Pop Culture is a well-known establishment that brings people together from all over the country. With space to hold up to 2,500 guests, this large venue is an exciting place to host an event where you can experience the iconic history of Seattle’s pop culture. MoPop also has great parking and public transportation access, making it a breeze for your guests.
This venue is a popular choice for our DMC clients, as it’s a great place for welcome or closing receptions and offers the “wow” factor. Check out our venue review for more details.
Modern Event Space
Block 41
A few blocks outside of downtown Seattle in Belltown, Block 41 has excellent indoor and outdoor spaces that can accommodate up to 400 guests. Having a more modern design, Block 41 features exposed beams, concrete floors and large windows. The location is close to all of Seattle’s iconic landmarks, including the Space Needle and Pike Place Market.
The Fremont Foundry
Just outside of downtown Seattle, the Fremont Foundry is a fun venue with an architectural appeal, with its exposed brick, high ceilings, and large windows. It offers plenty of event space, including a rooftop patio and indoor and outdoor spaces, making for an excellent venue for groups of 50-100 or large events for up to 500. We especially love the glass dance floor and their online virtual tour is definitely worth a look if you’ve never been to the venue before.
